Fabriam Learning has a long history of successfully delivering complex programmes and projects on behalf of various funding bodies including:

Recent projects have included:
Virtual Centre of Learning Excellence (VCLE)
A North East region-wide project that developed and tested a virtual learning environment (VLE). We provided individual flexible training for 60 learners from 7 companies and collaboration with 4 training provider partners and 1 development partner. VLEs allow highly flexible learning free from the constraints of place and time and are particularly suited to those people working on shift patterns unsuited to set piece College courses and times.
ACE Project (Adult Competence In Engineering)
A regional project that provided individual personal development and flexible training in Engineering for 212 individual learners from 43 companies in collaboration with 6 training provider partners. This project led to a transferable, qualification (Adult Competence in Engineering) accredited by SEMTA being developed for raising the skill levels of employees with a wide variability in their intital qualifications and experience.
Mechatronic Component Training.
A £700,000 project to provide support for manufacturing / engineering SMEs focused on higher skilled employees and managers at NVQ 3 and above.
A Careers CD Rom – Working in Electronics in the North East
This is an interactive CD Rom with online updates providing information, advice and case studies for those interested in working in the Electronics sector. It tailors information from a number of different angles – students, parents, careers advisers and teachers.

During a recent Learning & Skills Council region-wide ESF provision inspection by the Adult Learning Inspectorate, the overall effectiveness rating of Fabriam Learning’s provision was rated as “Good”.
We have full independent quality monitoring of our processes in line with the common inspection framework, which is managed by the Centre Co-ordinator / Project Manager with internal verification (IV) of the process and external verification (EV) from our awarding body (Emta Awards Ltd).
We are accredited to ISO 9001-2000 and the Investors in People standards.
We are listed on the North East England Service Provider Register.
