WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST JOINS NEMI

Walter Kemp has joined the North of England Microelectronics Institute (NEMI) as workforce developing adviser. This new appointment will help NEMI to develop its services for technology based organisations.
Walter has gained immense knowledge and experience in workforce development. He was previously a senior workforce development manager for the Learning and Skills Council Tyne & Wear. There he specialised in technology businesses and related sectors such as automotive, marine and offshore.
Walter said: "I'd like to help position NEMI in the forefront of developing skills in the technology sector."
In the past Walter also worked with Tyneside TEC and has been a board member of the Tyne & Wear Development Corporation and North Tyneside City Challenge. There he gained valuable local knowledge and established an extensive network that will now also benefit NEMI.
