Facilities
The Centre can accommodate companies from a single person to over 100 employees. The use of removable partitions and flexible communications wiring enables a degree of freedom regarding company size. Each workspace has outside windows making rooms light and airy, and is fitted with carpets, electrics and in most cases blinds. The smaller rooms have a basic furniture set.
Telecommunications
We aim to differentiate ourselves by providing the best telecommunications facilities possible at prices that smaller companies can afford. We believe that such a capability is vital for smaller and medium sized technology and knowledge based firms.
The Centre for Advanced Industry benefits from dark fibre from a number of suppliers and has negotiated some of the best deals in the UK for broadband Internet access.
The facilities included are listed:
- 44Mb/s capability with internet from 2 independent sources (34Mb/s Thus/Demon and 10 Mb/s Onyx) with full redundancy
- Local Internet Registry (LIR) status.
- Microwave connections to 8 selected sites and the Fabriam Centre.
